Linye Jiang 江麟冶 (b.1988 Sichuan, raised in Shenzhen, China) is a lens-based artist who makes art to connect people and tell her story. She explores themes of gender roles, human complexity, queerness and the evolving nature of societal culture in contemporary contexts. Linye pushes the possibilities of photography while experimenting with alternative ways of presenting it. Through her work, she creates sculptures, installations, videos, and performances. Her art is deeply influenced by her personal experiences, particularly her family’s queer story within a conservative environment. This intimate connection infuses her work with authenticity and emotional depth.

Linye currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.
